Volvo Car launches expansive new warehouse in Thailand

Volvo Car (Thailand) Limited recently celebrated the grand opening of their new Central Distribution & Training Center on Bangna-Trad Road Km 23 in Samutprakan. The 23,331-sqm complex was developed by WHA Corporation PCL on a built-to-suit lease agreement, according to property services firm JLL that represented Volvo Car in managing the leasing transaction.

“We’d like to congratulate Volvo Car on the grand opening of their new Central Distribution & Training Center in Thailand,” says Mr. Subyagorn Sansugtaweesub, Head of Industrial and Logistics at JLL. “The grand opening also marks the completion of our mission to successfully delivering the end-to-end leasing transaction management to Volvo Car.”

From January 2020, JLL assisted the Swedish carmaker with the entire leasing process from real estate requirement analysis, site search and selection, and lease negotiations to closing.

In February, Through JLL, Volvo Car Thailand and WHA Corporation entered into a lease agreement for a built-to-suit warehouse development at WHA-KPN Mega Logistics Center Bangna-Trad. Construction was complete in September and the development was named Volvo Car Thailand Central Distribution and Training Center (VCT CDTC), serving as a car distribution center, a car quality inspection service center, warehouse for auto parts and accessories, press car center and a training center for customer service teams.
