Mrs. Suphin Mechuchep, Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle, said, “Pattaya has been one of Thailand’s fastest-growing real estate markets. The city’s high-end residential sector in particular has seen continued growth, driven by strong demand from both high net worth Thais and foreigners buying houses and condominiums as holiday residences or retirement homes or as an investment.”
While Jones Lang LaSalle's main goal is to offer a full range of real estate services to customers in Pattaya, the Firm’s focus will be primarily on residential project sales and property management services, for which the company anticipates the highest demand.
“As in Bangkok and Phuket, we will also focus on high-end property developments in Pattaya. On the agency side, we believe that foreign buyers are more comfortable to work with reputable international agents who they are familiar with in their country of origin. On the property management side, buyers of high-end villas and condominiums expect their properties to be managed to international standards,” said Mrs. Suphin.
Rajneeporn Bishop
Jones Lang LaSalle has appointed Mrs. Rajneeporn Bishop as the Head of Residential Project Sales and Leasing for the Pattaya operation. Mrs. Rajneeporn has more than 20 years of experience working with leading property companies specializing in high-end residential developments in Bangkok and Pattaya.
“Over the past years, Pattaya has emerged as a major real estate market in Thailand, thanks to its reputation as one of the country’s most popular coastal holiday destinations catering to both local and foreign tourists. Pattaya also hosts one of Thailand's largest foreigner communities composed of expatriates working in the city and Eastern Seaboard as well as resident retirees from overseas," said Mrs. Rajneeporn.
“The Pattaya property market offers tremendous opportunities. There are a lot of existing high-end residential developments which will need our assistance for the sales of their remaining units and property management. There are also a number of interesting new projects coming on stream and we are in negotiations with a number of developers of these projects,” she added.
Operating in Thailand since 1990, Jones Lang LaSalle is currently the country’s largest international property services firm with 1,000 staff and a portfolio of almost 4 million sqm of property and corporate facilities under management. The new office in Pattaya is the Firm’s third office in Thailand, following the Phuket office, which was opened in 2008 and has seen an impressive growth with 17 estates now under management on the island, including five-star villas and resort condominiums.
