Jones Lang LaSalle Wins Top Accolades at the 2010 RFP Outstanding Individuals Industry Asia Awards

Firm bags Business Development and Project Manager of the Year awards

Singapore, 16 July 2010 – Two of Jones Lang LaSalle’s professionals have won prestigious industry accolades at the 2010 RFP Outstanding Individuals Industry Asia Awards. In its third year running, the awards celebrate the contributions of the brightest professionals in the facilities and projects space in Asia Pacific.

Ong Soo Yar, Business Development Director for Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), North Asia won the Business Development award, with her implementation of an Industrial Due Diligence program that helped clients save cost, minimize risk and close service gaps. Specifically tailored for industrial facilities, the program was successfully launched with a number of industrial clients and also provided a platform for Jones Lang LaSalle to solidify its position in the emerging industrial outsourcing sector. Ms Ong drew on her international experience to identify best practice methodologies and tools which can be customized for the North Asia market. Her proactiveness and client-centric approach delivered outstanding results for our clients and contributed significantly to the growth of our IFM business in North Asia.

Ada Fung, Senior Project Manager, Project & Development Services (PDS) was named Project Manager of the year for her successful delivery of a fit-out, restacking and relocation project for a leading law firm in Hong Kong. The two-year project involved the relocation of 700 staff and the set-up of 130,000 square feet of productive space over three and a half floors with a design that enhanced the client’s corporate image and promoted staff integration. This was the client’s first major relocation project and under Ms Fung’s leadership, it was completed satisfactorily within a very tight schedule and set budget.

John Forrest, Chief Executive Officer of Corporate Solutions, Asia Pacific at Jones Lang LaSalle highlights the significance of the awards, "Congratulations to Soo Yar and Ada on their achievements – they have done our firm proud. As a services business, our people drive our performance and to have two winners and six finalists recognised at this year’s industry award illustrates the depth and quality of talent that we have in our firm. We will continue to invest in our human capital, ensuring that we have the best talent in the industry that can provide our clients with top quality advice and service, as well as drive innovation and excellence in the real estate arena."

Of Jones Lang LaSalle’s participation in the Awards, Claire Saeki, co-founder and publisher, RFP Magazine, comments, “Each year, through organizing the Outstanding Individuals in Industry Awards, we come across professionals who are both prominent public figures and those who have been working hard but often out of the spotlight. It is great to see a company such as Jones Lang LaSalle who always support their teams by putting forward an excellent cross section of talent.  This acknowledgement not only supports the winners of the awards but also other nominees, their teams and improves the standards of the industry as a whole.”
